At Walmart Labs, I led UX strategy and design innovation across international markets, delivering seamless, inclusive experiences for millions of shoppers worldwide. I spearheaded Walmart’s Omni-channel Design Strategy, overseeing 60+ designers, researchers, and UX architects across Canada, Mexico, and the UK, while hands-on managing a core team of 18 across four time zones.
My leadership extended from scrappy three-person squads to cross-continental design ops at scale. I introduced a pioneering, design-led Agile methodology—tailored to cross-functional collaboration—which became the blueprint for Agile adoption across Walmart’s international eComm teams. This approach boosted team velocity by 180%, uniting Engineering, Product, Design, and Project leads into a high-performing, user-first unit.
Key wins:
- Launched Walmart Canada’s Agile UX process—now adopted by Walmart Mexico & UK.
- Directed outsourced research and data partners across multiple markets (12 analysts and data researchers).
- Set the foundation for international Ad Monetization.
